Brief Overview

Airmark Components, an FAA-certified aircraft component repair station, is seeking an experienced Chief Inspector for our pneumatics department. This full-time position is based near Fort Lauderdale International Airport and offers an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance our pneumatic operations.

Location

– Near the Fort Lauderdale International airport.

Compensation

$60k-$90k per year based on skills and experience with plenty of room for future wage growth.

Job Description

The Chief Pneumatic Inspector will oversee all inspection activities within the pneumatics department, ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA regulations. The role requires a thorough understanding of pneumatic valves, starters, and air cycle machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for certifying testing results, enhancing testing equipment, and occasionally assisting in troubleshooting.

Job Requirements

  • Certification: Repairman certificate or Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of MRO experience in an inspector role, with prior experience as a pneumatics technician or inspector strongly preferred.
  • Skills: In-depth familiarity with pneumatic components and their testing requirements.
  • Leadership: Ability to manage and direct departmental operations, ensuring high standards of compliance and quality.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and approve technician disposals and certify final testing results.
  • Maintain and improve pneumatic testing equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to FAA/EASA compliance across all operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians during troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks.
